Friendfeed Export and Format for Windows & OS X —

Windows

Instructions

  1. Download: Friendfeed Export and Format for Windows 7 (or higher)
  2. Right-click > Extract All
  3. Go into folders: ffexp-windows > ffexp > then double-click ffexp.exe
  4. Follow instructions in app. Will require using Chrome or Firefox.

Troubleshooting

The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer.

Solution: To fix this problem you will have to install the Visual Studio C++ Redistributable 2012 (~6 MB).

  1. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
  2. Click Download
  3. Click the checkbox next to VSU_4\vcredist_x86.exe
  4. Click Next
  5. After you have finished downloading the vcredist_x86.exe file, double click the file and follow the steps to install the Visual Studio C++ Redistributable 2012 package.

Mac OS X

Instructions

  1. IMPORTANT: You'll need to change a system preference on your machine (temorarily).
    Here: System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Allow apps downloaded from > Anywhere
  2. Download: Friendfeed Export and Format for OS X (probably won't work on versions earlier than Yosemite)
  3. Double-click ffexp.app.zip to extract ffexp.app
  4. Double-click ffexp.app
